Have a Blessed Thanksgiving!

I live in Northern California.  I love the summers here, the long days, the heat.  At the summer solstice in June it doesn’t get dark until 9:15 or so.  Being a numbers nerd, I’ve figure out that the day length changes by 1 minute per day.  So, after June 23 each year the evenings get darker 1 minute sooner each day.

We grow wines grapes and harvest normally around the 1st part of September.  It’s still nice and hot by then.  But when harvest is over it seems like we rocket to the holidays.  Right now the sun goes down around 6:30 pm.  Thanksgiving comes fast it seems.

I love Thanksgiving because it’s a time where I can have my family around me.  It’s also a time when I stop and reflect on the blessings of my life.  In the spirit of thankfulness and gratitude I want to say thank you to all of you.  People ask me when I’ll retire.  I tell them never because I so much enjoy what I do and who I do it with.  My teammates at work and my clients provide me with a lot of joy; challenges too, but that’s what makes it worthwhile.

I wish you all a wonderful holiday.  Thanks for joining me on this life adventure.  God bless.
